Summer Learning with SMA Prep offers engagement for continued growth in Reading and Math literacy with plenty of time to enjoy summer fun with family and friends.
Summer Reading
How Many Will You Read?

Students are encouraged to read at least 100 minutes per week or 20 mins a day!

The reading log must be completed, signed, and returned to your ELA teacher by Friday, August 18, 2023.
Summer Math Challenge
How many skills will you master?
- Rising 6th Grade: Achieve 75%+ mastery points in Getting Ready for 6th Grade Math or 85% mastery points for Advanced 6th grade math students
- Rising 7th Grade: Achieve 75%+ mastery points in Getting Ready for 7th Grade Math or 85% mastery points for Advanced 7th grade math students
- Rising 8th Grade: Achieve 80%+ mastery points in Getting Ready for 8th Grade Math
- Rising 7th & 8th Grade Students selected for Algebra 1: Achieve 90%+ mastery points in Getting Ready for Algebra 1
- Rising 8th Grade Students selected for HS Geometry: Achieve 90%+ mastery points in Getting Ready for Geometry
For the Summer Math Challenge,
New Students:
- Use a personal email account for summer math learning in Khan Academy.
- You will be notified when access to your school Google account is available.
- New students must complete a tech agreements form before access is provided to a school account.
Returning Students:
Log into Khan Academy with your ourSMA Gmail account.
