Military Service and Academies

At SMA, military leadership begins as early as an interest starts. Cadets can work with SMA's experienced military leaders as early as 8th grade if they're interested in pursuing a Service Academy or an ROTC scholarship. With that interest, cadets are automatically placed into the Service Academy/ROTC Scholarship Cohort, where they work closely with SMA's experienced military leadership to ensure the application and nomination process, academic criteria, and physical requirements are all met. Military leadership also works closely with cadets who plan to enlist upon graduation - helping them understand the academic and physical requirements for specific jobs, preparing them for success, and providing guidance on the ASVAB, which is offered every year, along with strategies to increase scores. Through mentorship and preparation, we help cadets take their first steps toward a future of service, scholarship, and leadership.
