About the Foundation
The SMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN # 82-1047032) that serves to receive, accept, and administer for the benefit of the Sarasota Military Academy High School and Sarasota Military Academy Preparatory School any funds or property donated to the Foundation.
Donated funds will:
- Aid, enrich and support the educational programs, facilities, staff, administration, and extracurricular activities of SMA;
- Enhance the learning experience of the students attending SMA.
The business and affairs of the SMA Foundation shall be governed and managed by the Board of Trustees in accordance with its executed Bylaws and the Government in the Sunshine Law (Florida Statute Section 286).
Foundation Board of Trustees Meeting
December 9th, 2020, 2:30pm (Virtual)
SMA Foundation will hold its monthly Board of Trustees meeting on December 9th, 2020. This meeting will be conducted online and open to the public.
The public may submit comments or questions through the webinar application. Speakers wishing to address the board may indicate their intent at the beginning of the meeting when requested and be allowed to speak for 3 minutes during the “Hearing of Citizens” portion of the meeting. Public guest speakers are responsible for configuring their microphone settings and will be brought into the meeting after being acknowledged by the chair. Public guest speakers will not be visible to the audience.
