Board of Directors
As a public charter school operating in Sarasota County, the Sarasota Military Academy has a governing board of directors comprised of community members who volunteer and share their time, talents, and resources. These professional and experienced men and women guide and steward the mission, vision, philosophy, and resources of the Academy.
The SMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN # 82-1047032) that serves to receive, accept, and administer for the benefit of the Sarasota Military Academy High School and Sarasota Military Academy Preparatory School any funds or property donated to the Foundation.
Donated funds will:
- Aid, enrich and support the educational programs, facilities, staff, administration, and extracurricular activities of SMA;
- Enhance the learning experience of the students attending SMA.
The business and affairs of the SMA Foundation shall be governed and managed by the Board of Trustees in accordance with its executed Bylaws and the Government in the Sunshine Law (Florida Statute Section 286).
