In my capacity as statewide staff attorney for the S.C. Guardian ad Litem Program, I have served as a professional educator and presenter at numerous state and national workshops in my field of expertise and authored numerous educational articles for various professional publications. I have taught English at SMA since the Academy opened its doors in 2002 and currently serve as Chair of the Language Arts Department, teaching Speech and Debate, as well as Theory of Knowledge for 11th and 12th grade International Baccalaureate students. In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor for the College of Arts and Sciences at USF Sarasota-Manatee, and serve as Faculty Sponsor and adviser for Junior State of America (JSA), S.E.E.D. to S.O.I.L., and L.I.F.E., three student interest clubs on campus.
