SMA-CPT, Science Instructor
B.S. Exercise Physiology, Cum Laude and with honors, from Florida State University.
Ph.D. Naturopathic Medicine, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona.
My research under the direction of Dr. Panton “Effects of lifestyle activity on glycosylated hemoglobin in middle-aged lower socioeconomic overweight and obese women,” was chosen as a poster presentation for the Southeast American College of Sports Medicine Conference in Charlotte, NC.
At Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) my studies focused on homeopathy and clinical nutrition.
I established a private practice in Pinehurst, North Carolina, focusing on holistic medicine, homeopathy and nutrition. While in North Carolina I began teaching nutrition and anatomy and physiology labs at Sandhills Community College. This experience made me realize how much I love teaching and how many more lives I could help via a classroom setting. I am honored to teach cadets at SMA.
