SMA-CPT, Science Teacher
BA – BIOLOGY, California State University
MS – MICROBIOLOGY, University of South Florida
MS - PUBLIC HEALTH, University of South Florida
Welcome everyone! I'm excited to be teaching here at SMA and look forward to all of the new staff and students I encounter. I sincerely love what I do, and look forward to teaching each and every day. I believe students learn by doing science especially chemistry, and that classes are a medium through which they learn life skills that are critical for their success in college and thereafter.
I graduated California State University with a Bachelor in Biology and went on to complete a Masters in Microbiology and a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Florida. I explored the vast world of infectious disease doing a fair amount of research before committing full-time to teaching. I also currently teach as an adjunct at the State College of Florida. I'm very passionate about science and understanding the world we live in. My classroom is a safe and creative place where students succeed academically showing respect and responsibility for themselves and their classmates.
