Linda Long earned her B.S. and M.S. in Education and Curriculum Instruction at the University of Wisconsin.
Before retiring to Sarasota in 1991 Ms. Long's was an educator and administrator in the Milwaukee Public School District, Milwaukee, WI. During her professional career, she served as a reading Specialist, Curriculum Supervisor and Elementary School Principal. She also served as Asst. Director of the School Management and Resource Team (SMART) Program, funded by the U.S., Dept. of Justice & Education, Washington D.C.
Linda currently serves on the Board of Directors for the "Road to Independence Foundation, Inc." and the Sarasota Tiger Bay Club program committee. She is past chairman of the Gulf Coast Italian Scholarship Committee and former Vice-President of Westcoast Facilitators, Inc.
An avid, competitive tennis player, Linda has played USTA league tennis for many years and currently serves as a team Captain. In 2014, she and her teammates represented Florida in the USTA National Championships held in Phoenix, Arizona.
Linda and her husband Bob (retired Asst. Supt. of Milwaukee Public Schools) live in Sarasota and continue to be involved in various community activities.
