By giving students continual feedback on achievement progress, students have the opportunity to demonstrate deeper understanding and higher levels of achievement. The goal is to have students take ownership of their learning to show what they know and are able to do. Students continually establish individual goals and have opportunities to reach them, which enhances learning.

Growth Mindset

It is important for students to understand the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. If what has been tried has not worked, it is important to recognize that the process of becoming an effective and successful learner is to seek new pathways to success.
