By giving students continual feedback on achievement progress, students have the opportunity to demonstrate deeper understanding and higher levels of achievement. The goal is to have students take ownership of their learning to show what they know and are able to do. Students continually establish individual goals and have opportunities to reach them, which enhances learning.
Approaches to Learning
“ATL represents general and subject-specific learning skills that the student will develop and apply during the programme and beyond. The focus of this area is on teaching students how to learn and on helping students find out about themselves as learners so that they can develop learning skills.”
